Adam concentrates his practice in insurance coverage, commercial litigation, civil litigation and appeals. His insurance coverage practice includes providing coverage opinions and related litigation involving declaratory judgment actions. He also has experience defending extra-contractual claims involving bad faith.
Adam has experience in a variety of general casualty defense matters including wrongful death, premises liability, transportation negligence, construction liability, product liability, defamation, dram shop and fire loss claims. Adam has experience defending first party property damages claims and subrogation claims related to such property damage. He has also represented local public entities and numerous townships throughout Illinois pursuant to the Local Governmental and Government Employees Tort Immunity Act. He has experience in the defense of toxic tort cases involving asbestos, mold, manganese, latex, lead and a various chemical exposures. His asbestos experience includes the defense of cases in Cook County and Madison County, Illinois and the Federal Multi-District Litigation in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Adam has represented businesses in commercial disputes involving breach of contract, breach of warranty, conversion and consumer fraud. He has also represented businesses in employment matters involving claims for unemployment benefits.
Adam graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996 and received his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2000, where he was a member of the Dean’s List. He is also a graduate of the Fred Lane Trial Technique Institute. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. He has been admitted pro hac vice in multiple jurisdictions throughout the country.
Prior to starting his own law firm Adam was a partner at a mid-sized Chicago law firm.
Adam is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and the National Forum for Environmental and Toxic Tort Issues (FETTI).
He has provided seminars on insurance coverage analysis and related litigation.
