INSURANCE COVERAGE
We provide coverage opinions involving a variety of insurance policies both occurrence based and claims-made policies. These policies include commercial general liability, professional liability, directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, commercial trucking, automobile and homeowner’s policies. We also have experience litigating additional insured coverage issues, matters of contractual indemnity, related issues of primary versus excess insurance and long-tail coverage claims. Additionally, we provide related litigation services involving declaratory judgment actions and the defense of extra-contractual claims involving bad faith.
CASUALTY DEFENSE
We provide general casualty defense involving a variety of claims. These claims include premise liability, transportation negligence including aviation, construction defect liability, product liability, defamation, dram shop, fire loss claims, subrogation actions, as well as, first party property damage claims. Our practice also includes the defense of professional liability actions. We have also represented local public entities and numerous townships throughout Illinois pursuant to the Local Governmental and Government Employees Tort Immunity Act. Moreover, we have defended a host of toxic tort claims involving asbestos, mold, manganese, lead and chemical exposures.
COMMERCIAL LITIGATION
We provide expertise in both civil and commercial litigation. We have litigated business disputes involving claims for breach of contract, breach of warranty, conversion, and consumer fraud. We have also defended businesses in employment claims and vicarious liability arising from their employee’s wrongful acts.
